My Internet Speeds Dont Go Higher than 30 Mbps on Average When I Pay for 200 Mbps

I am paying for 200 Mbps and only recieve about 30 Mbps on a wired and wireless device.  My set up is a Netgear CM700 modem and a Netgear Netduma R2 router (which I bought for gaming) I also have a cat 6 ethernet cable to run my tests.  My internet is ran through cable and Im currently using a cable splitter to have both my roomates and my modems, the splitter is two way that is a 5-2500 MHz.  When I first was able to get my internet going I got over 200 Mbps on a wireless speedtest but not even when I'm wired or wireless now I cap out at 32.  I also have tried plugging straight into the modem last night and got over 200 Mbps but now during the day I only get 30 again.  I have also ran these tests with NordVPN on and off and the differences in Download and Upload speeds were small.  What should I do to get closer to my threshold of 200 Mbps?

Hate to say this, but this sounds like congestion in your area, since a lot more people nowadays are working from home and clogging up the internet.

FWIW, I'm not saying that this is the root cause of the problem, but it should be addressed anyway.

You should change out that splitter for a 5-1002 MHz one. That one was engineered more for satellite systems, not coax cable-based systems. It can actually make the performance of cable systems worse by allowing line noise ingress at those higher satellite system frequencies that cable systems do not operate on. Just sayin'. Good luck !
