I was given a list of approved modems. When I reviewed them online, I noticed none of them support wifi. I have wifi in my home (1 iphone, 1 laptop, 3 tv's). Am I missing something? Why would I want a modem that doesn't support wifi?
Solved! Go to Solution.
So, you can use any router with an approved Xfinity modem then? What about a Modem with a built in router? Does Xfinity have a list of those they approve as well? I guess I'm a little confused because I'm not a technical person and I would have no way of knowing this. Thanks for answering my ?'s, I really appreciate it. Also, I thought my posting was public, if it wasn't, how do I make it public?
Gateways BITE !! Use separate components. You'll be much better off !!

Your post is public. The poorly worded "post publicly" advice in the Expert and Employee signature blocks is not directed at you, it appears in all messages they post, and is intended to encourage customers to post a public message instead of sending a Private message.
