Latency / Packet Loss

I keep having intermittent connectivity issues - for about the past 7 months. I am hardwired to the Xfinity WG, which is an XB7. I do not really notice this until I log in for work. I do connect to a VPN for work, but the IT department has thoroughly checked and I have had HP check my computer - no problems found on either. I have made numerous calls about this issue to Comcast and only had one tech visit. He said that He did not find anything that was significant and he replaced my splitters and cables to the modem. When I run Win MTR, I see that there's intermittent loss. Sometimes it's pretty significant, other times it may be 1%. Does anyone have ANY suggestions? I have to get this issue resolved, because I am being sent 'home' from work.
