Just upgraded and now data has skyrocketed.

I just upgraded to gigabit service and bought a new modem cm-1200.  My router is a orbi mesh rbr50 system.  I had to do a factory reset on the orbi to connect it to the modem.  Since all of the changes, the modem shows up as not connected in the app even though Internet works.  ALso during this time, data usage which was 250gb per month hit 1 terrabyte in 8 days.  The majority of the data is uploaded data (95%).  Xfinity says it is the modem and router.  Netgear says it is the ISP. EI lose Internet several times a day now,  I am guessing it is for excessive use.  There are no changes in internet habits or devices.  Just the internet plan, modem and factory reset on the modem.  My ticket was escalated from xfinity, but there is no response.  Any ideas?

 

Level 1 support just tried to sell me unlimited data and that was all they can do.
