Jitter and packet loss on my wired connection

Probably won't get anywhere with this. I just got laid off, trying to do remote work and destress and all the things I use my internet for I can't right now because the network is running like trash. I have speed but the jitter and packet loss is too much - it's not congestion on my network. I can't voip and I can't game, a sad panda am I....

Your signals look fine. In my experience, that gateway is a steaming heap of badness. I'd swap it.

Should I swap it for another model at comcast or get my own? It seemed to work fine until about 2 weeks ago. I really just want to be able to have fun with my friends but I really can't the way it is right now...

I've got a similar issue--the audio for VOIP is constantly being broken up with electronic noises.  Also, if I listen to the audio on YouTube, it gets broken up with electronic noise. 

How do I run a performance chart like that above by the first writer?  More to the point, is there any setting I can change to lower the amount of this electronic static?

OK. So I did what you said to do. Also decided to upgrade my speed in the hopes that not only could I finally game but I could VOIP or literally do anything social or productive with the internet other than stream video and D/L stuff fast. I had a tech come out, he came inside and then said he checked the signals and it wasn't from my building or connection. Said he made some calls and some guys would be expanding a node that was at high volume. Assured me after running several more tests and everything that I wouldn't be charged blah blah it wasn't me or my wiring etc because I had him check it, while he was here. I swapped out everything and upgraded, he told me to wait a week or two. I am at my wits end here, I am going to share some data on what my connection looks like and what I can reproduce with some tests. It should be illegal to charge me for "gigabit" and provide me with a service that first off, isn't even close to gigabit no matter when or how I look at it. UNLESS I do a speed test from lol, xfinity's online portal give me a break.  Well over just a hundred bucks a month for internet that's got a spottier uptime than my tmobile phone.
