Internet constantly dropping

Internet constantly dropping

I have problems with my internet constantly dropping for a few seconds here and there.  I notice it on my brand new computer and I can never even get through one phone call without not being able to hear the other person or the person hearing me (I use wifi calling).  I installed a brand new modem yesterday hoping for a fix, but am having the same issues.  Not sure what to do now.

For a test, does a computer / device hardwired directly to the router / gateway device with an ethernet cable have the same problem ?

With this test, we are trying to isolate this from being either a WiFi-only problem or a problem with the general connection to the Comcast system which would of course affect both. It's a good first step of troubleshooting before we proceed any further.
