Internet Upload Speeds - Hayward CA

Hi,

Over the last week (starting on Friday 04/24/2020, internet upload speeds have been very poor (less then .5MBps in most cases). Typically, I would see around 10MBps upload. Troubleshooting wiht Xfinity (reseting my Cable modem and router) has not resolved the issue. Like everyone, I am workign remote and with current performance none of my internet based conference calls (especially video) are reliable enough to use. I am having to rely on a cell phone. Is there a local issue creating congestion that needs to get resolved? This is near unworkable.

I'm in the same boat.  I spent a few hours talking with them yesterday and they said its because everyone is using it. Mine was working fine last week so I don't think its becuase everyone started to work from home more in the last 5 days. I also experience outages yesterday and the day before. Something is broke and they don't want to admit it.

Same issue here in WA. Download speeds are fine or better than expected, upload speeds will drop periodically to below 1.0. I’ve had the tech’s reprovision my router each day. I’m not sure if it’s time or the reprovision, but upload speed issues do get resolved, only to return again the next day... even replaced the router (they thought it could be faulty equipment). Same issue after installation. Not sure what to do next.

So I have been having this same issue as well, and can barely do conference calls or voice chats due to low upload speed.

Turns out my plan is only 10mbps upload speed. Why is it so low?! So you may have the same issue and have to upgrade which is ridiculous. 😕
