Intermittent Lag / Performance Degredation

Seeing significant packet loss on traceroute, any chance these things are related? Any idea how to get resolution on this? Speed/Performance is good most of the time, but every once in a while it just goes to heck.

Feel like I'm getting stuck in a troubleshooting + Technician loop where I'm unable to get resolution because I'm unable to reliably reproduce the degraded performance. The table below is an example of some of the abnormal packet loss I'm seeing:

sudo /usr/local/Cellar/mtr/0.93_1/sbin/mtr google-public-dns-a.google.com

The packet loss starts right between your modem and the CMTS / System. Try getting them here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1

Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.

What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?

Is this a WiFi connection ?
