IPv6 terminology help.

Need help with explaining how to turn my IPv6 on for my connection.

I know for a fact that the area that im in can run IPv6. Ive had it at my last place that I lived. I have taken my personal modem with me to my new place but now need comcast to re establish the IPv6.

So far ive gotten two people that dont knw what im talking about (who also asked there team and no one knew what i was talking about).

Here's what shows up in my modem event log  (SB8200):

"Honoring MDD; IP provisioning mode = IPv6"

There's nothing else indicating IPv6 support and there are no options to enable/disable IPv6 support on the modem.   Have you enabled IPv6 support on your router?    Do you see a similar message in your event log?

With a computer directly connected to your SB8200 (no router in the mix) what does this test say ?;

What router are you using? The SB8200 is just a basic modem. IPv6 settings will be in your router and devices.
