Just got a netgear CM1200 modem to replace an Arris that a tech felt was going bad and causing some issues with the internet speed stability.
After install, and 2.5 hours later to get it activated (couldn't do it myself for some reason).....I'm having the same issues. Contacted Netgear and got told my downstream power is out of spec. They recommend -7 to +7 dBmV. My range is from 10.2 to 12.8 dBmV.
If I understand this is my modem creasing volume to hear the signal, but my question is...what can I do to get my power level within the spec that Netgear recommends?
