How do I turn on the data ports on the xfinity modem?

Modem seems to be working fine for WiFi but I would like to connect my computer using Ethernet cable to the
Modem data ports. But I seem to be getting no signal out of data ports.

What is the make and model of your modem?

Re: How do I turn on the data ports on the xfinity modem?

Sorry for long delay.

Voice and Data Modem
ARRIS GROUP, INC. TG3482G

I am trying to split the ethernet connection out of the gateway.  I have had  a wall jack installed and then it runs to a splitter and goes to 3 other rooms.  I can't get a signal to the bedrooms.  The modem ethernet port works fine.

Thanks,

Dave

If you know it’s good out of the modem(have you tested it?), keep testing it backwards, and hope whoever installed the jack did it right.
