Help needed!!! Severe packet loss and ping spikes.
I recently switched back to xfinity after moving to an area with comcast coverage. However, I am now experiencing severe lag in skype or WhatsApp video calls and online gaming. I have changed my modem to netgear CM1000 and my router to Netgear AC1200 but no relief. I had a tech come from Comcast to take a look and they chandlers some of the cables indoor but it did not solve the latency issues. At this point I have no idea what to do anymore. When I use a ping plotter, I get between 30% - 45% packet loss.
PS: I have researched the topic here in the forum and haven’t seen any real concrete solution I can apply.
