Have to reboot modem, at least daily to get my 300mbps tier. (Goes to less than 20mpbs download)
I have 300mbps Xfinity internet, and the last week I notice my desktop lagging and I run a speedtest and I am getting less than 20mbps download speed (Upload is always 24mpbs steady)
I reboot the modem and my 300mpbs speed is back, and I generally don't notice it until the next day, and its rinse and repeat. Until recently, I never had to reboot my modem.
I did read in the forums with someone that had similar issue and tech came out and checked everything, and said it was because of increased usage in the neighborhood that causes Xfinity to reduce speeds to keep everyone online?? Seems odd, and seems like speed would come back on its own then??
This was after I just rebooted and 300mbps speeds came back:

To be fair, I my service was out for an hour or so, twice this week, and app said technicians working on internet in my area and service would be restored ASAP. Possibly they don't have the issue fixed that other folks on my node have already complained? Regular tech support just says everything looks good on their end.

The signal stats are o/k. Repost them again in 24 hours. Don't re-boot the modem.
