Got my XFi Pod tonight.. plugged it in... speed (near gateway) immediately dropped 80%!

I received my XFi pod that I ordered.. and I activated it.

It seems to work.  I did a speed test to my device and (event right NEXT to the gateway that used to be 600M), it's more like 80M.. anyone know why the entire house would slow down as soon as I plug an XFi pod in?
