Fortnite and TV

I have my LG SmartTV using and ethernet connection and my son uses his Xbox to play fornite via wireless connection.  When the TV is on, he is unable to play Fortnite.   He is fairly close to the router but it does sit behind a cabinet on the floor.  We have a split level home, so his room is the next level down but pretty close to the router.   We typically run anywhere from 75mbs to 200mbs.  Not sure what is causing the issues but wanted to get some direction.

There are other options. Google for WiFi repeaters / range extenders, WiFi mesh systems / pods.
