Extremely high latency for the past 2 days (1500ms+)
For the past 2 days, everything on my network is at a crawl because the latency for everything is so high. Local network operations, like media servers, are fine, but anytime we try to connect to the internet, we're slapped with absurd pings.
I've done some traceroutes to comcast.com which I think showcase the issue pretty well.
Tracing route to comcast.com [69.252.80.75] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.8 2 56 ms 992 ms 330 ms 96.120.98.57 3 283 ms 673 ms 138 ms 68.85.99.249 4 893 ms 981 ms 42 ms 68.85.56.25 5 52 ms 47 ms 32 ms 68.85.56.49 6 74 ms 94 ms 70 ms be-33661-cr02.56marietta.ga.ibone.comcast.net [68.86.95.41] 7 1345 ms 366 ms 921 ms be-1102-cs01.56marietta.ga.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.69] 8 876 ms 521 ms 1212 ms be-1111-cr11.56marietta.ga.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.6] 9 883 ms 2852 ms 1093 ms be-301-cr11.ashburn.va.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.2] 10 892 ms 215 ms 477 ms be-1311-cs03.ashburn.va.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.113] 11 1300 ms 388 ms 1022 ms be-1302-cr02.ashburn.va.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.178] 12 430 ms 1753 ms 2107 ms be-7922-ar03.newcastle.de.panjde.comcast.net [68.86.94.250] 13 114 ms 154 ms 1282 ms ae100-ur11-d.newcastlerdc.de.panjde.comcast.net [68.85.158.90] 14 1523 ms 1103 ms 2604 ms urlrw01.cable.comcast.com [69.252.80.75] 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.8 2 1051 ms 2134 ms 715 ms 96.120.98.57 3 395 ms 1132 ms 473 ms 68.85.99.249 4 483 ms 48 ms 919 ms 68.85.56.25 5 291 ms 1540 ms 503 ms 68.85.56.49 6 71 ms 571 ms 382 ms be-33661-cr02.56marietta.ga.ibone.comcast.net [68.86.95.41] 7 946 ms 937 ms 1352 ms be-1102-cs01.56marietta.ga.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.69] 8 * 3444 ms 280 ms be-1111-cr11.56marietta.ga.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.6] 9 167 ms 469 ms 1537 ms be-301-cr11.ashburn.va.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.2] 10 865 ms 1958 ms 628 ms be-1311-cs03.ashburn.va.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.113] 11 640 ms 235 ms 1085 ms be-1302-cr02.ashburn.va.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.178] 12 283 ms 71 ms 68 ms be-7922-ar03.newcastle.de.panjde.comcast.net [68.86.94.250] 13 524 ms 310 ms 380 ms ae100-ur11-d.newcastlerdc.de.panjde.comcast.net [68.85.158.90] 14 538 ms 252 ms 674 ms urlrw01.cable.comcast.com [69.252.80.75] 1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.8 2 1150 ms 11 ms 325 ms 96.120.98.57 3 815 ms 543 ms 1632 ms 68.85.99.249 4 350 ms 2400 ms 917 ms 68.85.56.25 5 176 ms 1525 ms 205 ms 68.85.56.49 6 738 ms 603 ms 135 ms be-33661-cr02.56marietta.ga.ibone.comcast.net [68.86.95.41] 7 1657 ms 613 ms 259 ms be-1102-cs01.56marietta.ga.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.69] 8 1510 ms 273 ms 1001 ms be-1111-cr11.56marietta.ga.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.6] 9 350 ms 674 ms 93 ms be-301-cr11.ashburn.va.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.2] 10 52 ms 122 ms 630 ms be-1311-cs03.ashburn.va.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.113] 11 125 ms 299 ms 652 ms be-1302-cr02.ashburn.va.ibone.comcast.net [96.110.32.178] 12 84 ms 251 ms 500 ms be-7922-ar03.newcastle.de.panjde.comcast.net [68.86.94.250] 13 215 ms 1289 ms 653 ms ae100-ur11-d.newcastlerdc.de.panjde.comcast.net [68.85.158.90] 14 64 ms 351 ms 1012 ms urlrw01.cable.comcast.com [69.252.80.75]
Did them 3 times just to show that it's NOT just an isolated case. Absolutely everything I try to connect to has the same latencies, even Google. I tried using the support chat to report this, but it's so bad I couldn't even sign in there.
Am I put on some sort of throttle-list? I upgraded to blast internet because I was sick of slowdowns like these.

Those are o/k at that snapshot in time. For a test, does a computer hardwired directly to the 3008 modem have the same problem ? Please also post the modem's error / event log entries.

What do the modem's signal stats look like ? Try getting them here http://192.168.100.1 or here http://10.0.0.1
Please post the *Downstream Power Level*, the *Upstream Power Level*, and the *SNR* (Signal to Noise Ratio) numbers.
What is the exact make and model number of the modem ?
Is this a WiFi connection ?

Here's the modem info.
I'm using the Cisco DPC3008 modem with an Archer A7 TP-link router. The issue occurs on both WiFi and wired connections. I've tried rebooting every single device on the network, router/modem included, to no avail.

While moving wiring around, I accidentally rebooted the modem and for some god-unknown reason, this time it fixed the issue. Thank you very much for your time, and info on how to access the modem config. I had no idea I could connect to it!
