Dead modem?

Got xfinity a month ago and already having problems with the Xfi Gateway.  I was browsing online and my internet suddenly died. The gateway no longer shows any light, telling me that's it turned off. I tried unplugging the device, and unplugging from the outlet but no luck with power cycling. It remains cold when plugged in, instead of being warm. Other devices that I use on that outlet are still working fine though.

 

I'm almost certain the gateway is fried and needs to be replaced, but just wanted to see if anyone might have other solutions or similar experiences.
