Connecting to Internet through Coax in upstairs room(s)

I'm movnig to a much larger house.  Where I am now, Wifi covers the entire footprint.  I will now have 3 floors with the main modem/router on the first and my "office on the 3rd.  The house (2007) has coax running to every room upstairs.  Can I connect to the internet directly through the coax in a room(s) upstairs?  What type of adapter/hardware do I need at the upstairs end of the connection?  Can I add another Wifi connection upstairs as well?

You might look up MoCA (Multimedia over Coax) adapters.

Some tips for improving WiFi performance;

There are other options. Google for WiFi repeaters / range extenders, WiFi mesh systems / pods, powerline ethernet adapters, MoCA adapters. Good luck !

Re: Connecting to Internet through Coax in upstairs room(s)

Thanks for the reply.  I suppose I really want to know if I need the Xfinity Tech to do anything when he comes to my house.  If everything is connected (the coax line terminating in the jack in the office is connected to the splitter where the signal enters the house)  I should be able to connect (using the appropriate equipment) to the internet in the office, correct?
