Comcast/Xfinity Blocks Plex

xFi Security continuously blocks Plex even though I am consciously forwarding the port. Since Comcast finds it necessary to contradict and undermine me, am always logging into Xfinity, clicking on the "threat" and hitting the "allow" button so that it will work again. It is tedious and i have read of a number of complaints about this very issue.

I am a big boy. I knew what i was doing when i decided to forward my Plex port. Stop interfering.21.41.01Security - Xfinity xFi.png

Can't see your pic. Since you are a new poster, it needs to be approved by a Forum Admin. That could take some time. In the interim you could try hosting it at one of those free third-party pic hosting sites like Imgur or Photobucket and post the link to it here.

Was anything answered about this? I am now running into this same issue.

I have the proper port forwarding in place but the ports are still being blocked.

You have to disable the XFI Security. I tried everything. This is the only way to make it work.

I thought I had this fixed with the port forwarding and even putting the machine w/ the Plex server in the DMZ doesn't work. This is incredibly  frustrating. The choices to get Plex to work are turn off the Advanced Security or switch internet providers. I'm starting to lean towards the latter.

If anyone from Comcast is listening, can't you figure out how to get Plex to work?

Or, you can use your own equipment and save the rental fee.
