I have been trying to disable MoCA on my Xfinity XB6 gateway. The only settings I have in the web based menu is to Enable or Disable MoCA and Save. If I choose to Disable and Save, I get a message that it is communicating with the backend, and when it comes back, MoCA is re-enabled. I have tried this many times and MoCA keeps being enabled.
I have read that this issue needs to be corrected by a technical support agent, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I cannot get through via phone to technical support and going through chat support, I have been told that this needs to be escalated to Tier 2 support. Any suggestions on how I can get this problem resolved?
A MoCA filter is installed on the line coming into the home, so that isn't the issue. I was told that there is no way to disable MoCA on the XB6 or XB7 gateways, that this is the default setting and cannot be changed.
