Can I use an XFINITY certified Asus Cable Modem on it's own, or do I need a WiFi router as well?

I'm opting to use my own modem/router after upgrading my internet, and i'm curious if I will need just this one piece of equipment:

Asus CM-16 Docsis 3.0 Cablelabs-Certified 16x4 686 Mbps Cable Modem Certified by Comcast Xfinity, Spectrum and Other Service Providers

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6WJWQY/

Or will I need a secondary piece of equipment to also go along with it? Thanks!

That’s just a modem, you’ll need a router if you want Wi-Fi
