CM500V connectivity problems
I have a CM500V modem and Linksys mesh home wifi system and had no problems for a few years, all be it a few modem resets here and there.
As of late last week it seems our internet drops off often daily and requires modem resets often. Had some windy weather come through so dispatched an Xfinity technician to come check connectivity at the pole to house. All is well. The tech stated the modem is "wearing out". Anyone hear of this?
It has latest firmware, mesh wifinis up to date as well.

I'm seeing something similar with my Netgear CM500V too. I've had it for about 18 month, and in the last few months I've seen the internet drop out multiple times a week. Sometimes it comes back on it's own after a few minutes, other times it requires a modem reboot. I thought maybe it was the router (Netgeat Nighthawk R7000), but the router status page says that the internet from the modem is unavailable and rebooting the router doesn't fix it.
Comcast ran dianostics on the modem remotely and said they couldn't find any issues with it. I'm wondering if a firmware update is the cause. Supposedly with the modems, they're pushed out by the ISP. I'm runnung v1.01.10 and unfortunately never documented what it was when I first got it.
I'm thinking about renting one of Comcast's modems for a few months to see if I still see the problem. There are others on the forum that had voice issues with this modem that were solved by replacing it.
