Bridge mode losing half d/l speed when enabled.

I have a CGM4140COM modem and I'm currently hard wired from the modem to the desktop.

(I have not added the wireless router yet to show it's not the issue.)

As soon as I enable bridge mode my download speeds from from over 950 to below 500 on a consistent basis.

When I disable bridge mode, reboot the modem my download speeds are still below 500.

I have to factory reset the modem, set it up again for my 950 plus download speeds to come back.

I had the modem replaced about 3 weeks ago and I'm having the same problem.

Has anyone seen this type of behavior before?

I also confirmed with Comcast that my account is GIG speeds and I have used multiple speed test sites including Comcast's, Speedtest.net and Fast.com.

Thanks,

Anthony

Resolved.

After a 3rd modem replacement and online and phone support didn't help, I bought my own modem.

Which version did you buy?  I'm having the same problem and think they're purposely dropping the speed when they see it in bridgemode.
