At what Xfinity Internet download/upload speed is DOCSIS 3.1 modem useful?

I currently have a Motorola MB7621 DOCSIS 3.0 cable modem that should support up to 600Mbps. I currently have less than 200Mbps.

Would a DOCSIS 3.1 modem be of any use for Xfinity service with speed less than 1Gbps?

When would Active Queue Management (AQM) take effect?
