Hi there! I work at Khan Academy and have been trying to upgrade my modem so that I can support our 800,000 teachers across the country. Unfortunately, when I plug in my new Arris SB8200, I'm not able to use xfinity.com/activate to get started - it just keeps failing over and over. Is there any way I can get this up-and-running?
Give this automated device activation line a shot: 1-855-652-3446. Even if the automation fails, you then get connected to an advanced repair representative rather than a tier 1 phone rep. Good luck !!!
I have the same issue. Xfinity said this is the known issue and asked me to replace my modem. The issue is that even when I called Xfinity to activate the modem, their system is not accepting the modem MAC ID and recognizing it as an unknown modem.
Did you have any luck with activating your unit?
