Adding a second wireless router to my home network

I recently moved into a new home that is wired up with Cat 6 cable and an Ethernet port in my living room only.  I have a single modem / wireless router (motorola mt7711) installed in my living room; however my basement has a very weak signal and sometimes deadzones.

Would it be recommended that I install a second wireless router in my basement to increase signal in that area? There is a coaxial connection, but unfortunately no ethernet ports exists in my basement. I have an extra modem / wireless router combo (Surfboard SBG10) that I could use, but wasn't sure what my options are given that I only have a coaxial connection in my basement.

Thanks,

Brian

Unless you're willing to run a long length of flat ethernet cable around your house, your options appear to be Powerline Adapters (that use your home electrical wiring) or  MoCA adapters (which use the coax cabling).
