Activation issue: When trying to activate my new modem it says I need to update my equipment.
Just what the title says. The xfinity WiFi app is telling me I need to update my equipment/service to activate. I cannot connect to the new WiFi modem or activate it for two days now. I had a different service a year ago but now this is not working and nothing seems to help. Any ideas?

Give this automated device activation line a shot: 1-855-652-3446. Even if the automation fails, you then get connected to an advanced repair representative rather than a tier 1 phone rep. Good luck !
