6183 Modem only pulling V6 address after system maint/upgrade
Wednesday am, comcast was doing system maint, but after this I noticed that I have 4 upload and not 3 upload channels as it has been for the past 6 years. Noticing that my speed was less than half mormal, I rebooted the modem. All light came back normal, but no connectivity. I hooked a win 10 box directly to the modem, it was getting and surfing v6 addresses, but not v4. Tried a 6141 modem, same results v6, not v4 address. I kinda think the DHCP4 server is off.
Support is useless, one swears that comcast does not hand out IP Addresses, multiple others say I need to call Arris, most do not understand v4 vs v6, what error am I getting, do a IP release/renew, tried that while using a win10 box direct to modem
