31 instead of 32 down stream Channels on Docsis 3.1 Modem and low upstream power

I installed an Arris T25 modem a couple of weeks ago. I am only getting 31 downstream channels, but Arris says I should have 32 Channels. I also have low power on the upstream side. Arris says to tell Comcast and they will increase the power and channels. I called Comcast and they told me that they don't have the ability to change these. I know this is wrong, as I have dealt with this problem before, and Comcast has corrected it with no problem.

Any help is greatly appricated,

Thank You

Jim

You would only see ch32, if you subscribe to gigabit (you didn’t say). Any of the upstream or downstream channels don’t get changed remotely(any changes are done by a tech in person at your location). Comcast uses a range for both, those are the numbers that matter not what Arris says. How about posting those numbers?

Thank you for your reply.

I was basically forced into using a Comcast router. They told me that there nothing that they can do to correct the problem, that it was an Arris problem. It was my equipment and my problem.

They did send a tech this morning to check everything up to the house, which he did find a kinked cable. He tried to tell me that that wouldn't have any effect on my issues.

Unfortunately, I was trapped and had to go back to Comcast equipment.
