1Gb service now has a data cap?

I just upgraded to the 1Gb/35Mb internet plan, but I'm still showing a 1Tb data cap on the website. Did the policy change? I was under the impression there was no cap for 1Gb bandwidth service. The cap should at least be increased so I don't feel bad for actually using the bandwith I'm paying for. Denver, CO service area.

It always did if you were /are in a data cap area. It didn't matter which speed tier that were subscribed to.

Look it even says it on the current FAQ page

"Data usage plans don't currently apply to Xfinity Internet customers on our Gigabit Pro tier of service. Data usage plans also do not apply to Business Internet customers, customers on Bulk Internet agreements, and customers with Prepaid Internet. "

Uh well, that's the Gigabit pro 2 Gbps service which is delivered via fiber (FTTH), not the standard gigabit 1 Gbps which is delivered via the regular DOCSIS / coax cable.

By the way, the normal prices for Gigabit and Gigabit pro at my location are $100 and $300.  So if your goal is just unlimited data, it's cheaper to add it as an option to whatever plan you have. (You don't need gigabit to add unlimited data.)
