1 Gbps Connection drops to 1 Mbps after reboot
Long story short, upped my connection to a 1 Gbps tier and replaced my modem with an Arris SB8200. I spent some time with Tier 2 a few weeks ago who did some manual configs and finally got my speeds in the 900-1000 Mbps range. This morning, I had to do a reboot of the router and I am now back at sub 1 Mbps speeds. Xfinity automated tech support is horrible, I have rebooted my modem a dozen times and reset it several other times, but if I do not let it do that again, it boots me out. I finally got through and asked to be put through to Tier 2 and I was put on hold for 1 1/2 hours before I had calls with my CEO that I could not put off any longer. I am currently hardwired into the modem and getting a ton of errors as I did before, with xfinity.speedtest.net showing about 500 Mbps.... I was told my Arris tech support that Upstream levels are off, but then told by Comcast they were fine... I have now spent 10 HOURS trying to get someone from Xfinity to help. Was on hold for an hour, almost 2 hours...plus hours rebooting, reseting, pouring through forums....every time I try to get on chat, they say not agents available (this has been ALL DAY), when I call in, I get automated troubleshooting that keeps wanting me to reboot/reset, even though I have done this over and over and over. I am done....
