xFi app says I need to upgrade my equipment but it is a new Comcast Modem Gateway

It won't let me connect via the xFi app on either my pc or Android phone.  It keeps saying, I need to upgrade but it is a brand new modem/router/gateway from Xfinity.  @ComcastBrittany

Do you have an xFi Gateway?

Hi @Bmills518, I just responded to your Private Message, but it looks like this has since worked itself out. Please let me know if you still see the upgrade message.

Sorry you're still seeing this message. You mentioned before you have an Android device, can you try navigating to the Application Manager, selecting xFi App and then deleting the app cache/data?

Then try opening the xFi App and see if the issue is resolved.

If it is not resolved, please take a screenshot of the upgrade message from your device to capture the timestamp and send it to me via Private Message.  Thanks!

My issue did NOT "work itself out"

I have posted about this issue already. However the employee said that my issue had "worked itself out". This is false. I am still having the same issue. So now I am paying for the "more advanced features" that I can not even use. I have the latest equipment. It won't let me connect via the xFi app on either my pc or Android phone. It keeps saying, I need to upgrade but it is a brand new modem/router/gateway from Xfinity.

Original post that is now being ghosted.
