xFi app says I need to upgrade my equipment but it is a new Comcast Modem Gateway
It won't let me connect via the xFi app on either my pc or Android phone. It keeps saying, I need to upgrade but it is a brand new modem/router/gateway from Xfinity. @ComcastBrittany

Sorry you're still seeing this message. You mentioned before you have an Android device, can you try navigating to the Application Manager, selecting xFi App and then deleting the app cache/data?
Then try opening the xFi App and see if the issue is resolved.
If it is not resolved, please take a screenshot of the upgrade message from your device to capture the timestamp and send it to me via Private Message. Thanks!
