Xfi app and XB7

Hello,

Is the Xfi app compatible with XB7 gateway?

The app thinks the gateway needs to be activated. But the gateway is already activated and been in use for while now

thanks

Re: Xfi app and XB7

My xFi app appears to be working with my XB7.  One note; I am using the Orbi for my home network and I have the XB7 in Bridge Mode.

Re: Xfi app and XB7

thanks for your response.

Interesting, last time i was on support chat, it was mentioned xb7 is not compatible yet with Xfi app and the app needed some code fixes or upgrade to work with XB7

Are you sure about that? https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/xfinity-xfi-overview says:

If Bridge Mode is enabled on your xFi Gateway, you won't be able to use Xfinity xFi.

That's not supposed to be possible.

That’s a screenshot of your XB7, but can you control your devices through the Xfi app as the thread title asks. I’ll say no

Yes, I can.  All my devices appear in xFi.  They also appear in the Gateway and in the Orbi website and the Orbi App.

"Appearing" and controlling are two different things. @CCAndrew asked if you can *control them* ?

I can rename them and I can see the details (MAC, etc).

BUT, I have a truck roll scheduled to have the new XHome Touchscreen installed and I will ask the tech if there are any issues with the XB7 in Bridge Mode.
