Persistent Large Red Icon to link Honeywell will not go away
I have four kids, three of which are triplet teen age girls. I love the XFi app for my smartphone because when I start it, i see each of their profiles and know what device is or isn't connected.
Two months ago, when I opened my XFi app, a large, red icon appeared telling me to link my Honeywell thermostats to my XFi account. I thought this was silly because I already have a Honeywell app on my smartphone that allows me to do that. For several weeks, I've been calling Xfinity and trying to get rid of it because it being there and being so large forces me to scrool down in order to see the kids profiles.
I thought I had a solution when I called yesterday about a phone problem. The technical support fella suggested I link my thermostats to the XFi app temporarily, and then "unlink" them. So, I linked the thermostats to my XFi app and the obnoxious icon went away. I then "unlinked" the thermostats from Xfi, but the darn red icon reappared yet again. I don't know why Xfinity is shoving this down my throat when I don't think my thermostats should have anything to do with my cable.
Question: Does anyone know how to delete the large, red icon from the front door of my XFi app?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
