New customer, can’t enter xFi app

Every time I try to sign in it says “Access not Authorized”
“You signed in successfully, but you must be an xfinity user to enjoy this service.” ??????????? Can anyone help?

people are here since the chat support isn't always helpful and were hoping someone who is a little more competent has the solution.
