Is everyone's xFi router using 5GHz band channel 44?
Late last year it looks like Xfinity took control of channel selection.
Interference is a major problem for me, causing intermittent cut-outs on Zoom and other video calls.
My gateway is using 5GHz band channel 44.
When I search for horror stories in this thread, the only channel I see other people's routers using is channel 44. It doesn't change when I restart.
Does anyone have any evidence the router actually doing any detection work prior to channel selection?

It looks like your wifi channel and mode are being managed automatically. Unfortunately, when the settings are managed automatically the admin portal (10.0.0.1) is locked and it appears to be frozen on the settings that you had before your Gateway's settings were being managed automatically. Your Gateway is currently optimizing to use the best channel, mode, and band but that isn't apparent on the admin portal. Please let me know if you have additional questions. We hope to be able to update that soon to avoid any confusion.

Thanks for the response, but as far as I can tell, it's really not making a good decision.
Scans of traffic suggest that channel 44 is one of the very busiest in my building.
Can you pass on the message that this is simply not working as intended?
