Finding how much data a device is using

I have Xfi and under devices I can see a chart for each device that shows data usage over the past 24 hours.  However, the data usage scale is only labeled as low, high, very high, etc.  I am having difficulty staying under the 1 TB monthly limit and can't determine where this much data is being used.  How can I measure and quantify the data used by each device?

I have the same issue with data usage display.

In the advanced tab you can see your data use for the month. I keep track of it on a spreadsheet and then use the percentages the app gives you to estimate who’s using most data. Other than that the app is useless for determining data use. My Data quadrupled in four months and it’s impossible to track down. Comcast Security Assurance is a department who’s job it is to keep you on the phone and finally tell you they can’t help you and need to “escalate it” and call you back. They Will Never Call You Back. Basically the solution is pay for unlimited data because they are going to make it look like you are using more than 1TB no matter what and you can’t argue with them. Their solutions always involve charging you more. I was told to rent their router to find my problem. Two weeks into it and now the XFI app isn’t showing data use any longer.

Exactly correct.  I have the Xfi modem and although the account data use will soon exceed 1TB, when I look at each device that is connected Xfi says the usage is less than 0.1% of the total.  We do almost zero streaming so there is no known reason why our data use should almost double over the last few months.

I went to a Comcast store and they attempted to help me figure it out, but no joy.  Since I already have the Xfi modem,  going to an unlimited data plan was $11/month which was less than I expected.  I don't like it, but I am spinning my wheels wasting time trying to figure it out so I moved to an unlimited data plan.

The answer to every problem is you need to pay more!

Comcast’s answer to “cord cutting” is data caps where they can get away with it to charge you overages. The XFI app is iffy at best about telling you where your data goes but somehow they have their own super accurate tool that they can’t let us use or see that says we are going over our limit and we have to pay extra. It’s good to be a monopoly.

one thing that won't be tracked by the xFi app would be anything you have wired in.  I'm aware of this as i have 2 tvs directly conntected, but it would still be nice to get actuals instead of percentages used from wireless.
