will not load onto the "home entertainment experience" from the homepage

Hi all,

I have been using my Mom's xfinity account for years, and have never had an issue logging in and using the app to watch shows/movies/recordings on my computer. I live in Austin and she is in Houston, so I am not working from her cable connection. I am able to watch everything on my andriod phone, but not my apple computer. For the past week I have been able to long into the home page with no issue. When I click on anything, such as the little TV icon at the top, or anything on the homepage, it goes to a blank white screen and does not finish loading or the message " now connecting to the home entertainment experience." I had it loading on that page for 30 minutes while the little dots flashed across the screen.

the streaming website will only work while connected to the home internet for full subscription access. the TVgo channels and completed recordings as well as much of the on-demand library is available when not at the home address connected to the home internet.
