Xfinity Stream says I am not on Home Wifi when I am

I got a new modem about 2 months ago and now I am having issues connecting to Xfinity Stream, it will let me watch all TVGo channels but as soon as I select something that isn't on there it says I am not connected to Home Wifi when I am.

 

I called last week and they said there was an outage with Xfinity Stream and it seems that either they lied to me or this service is just broken forever.

 

We reset the modem, verified we were connected to the home wifi, reinstalled the app on my mobile devices, and it is still not working.

run the xfinity my account app, internet tab and examine the 'modem'/gateway(s). is more than one shown? comapre the serial number shown to the HFC MAC address on your own modem label. does it match character by character?
