Xfinity Stream not working

For more than a year I've been watching Live TV on my iMac with Xfinity Stream. Starting yesterday it doesn't work. I have an ethernet connection from my iMac right back to the Comcast emta box. I use Google Chrome Version 75.0.3770.100 (Official Build) (64-bit). This is very annoying.

Talked to 3 different people so far and was disconnected twice. Then had to hold for 20 minutes to talk with another person, completely useless. The phone shows 35 minutes so far with this call. What a complete joke.

just tested the web stream site with same version of Chrome and it works fine. Chrome has built in flash (sandboxed for safety). do you get logged in? do you get to live TV channel guide grid? when you 'play' a channel what happens? error codes/messages?

I'm logged in with the account that has full access privileges. The channel grid shows up, but on certain channels the "Watch" button is grayed out so I'm unable to click on it. Some channels work fine such as Starz Encore (a premium channel) but others don't; I can't watch any Cubs or Sox games, Encore Westerns, etc.  It's ridiculous. The error message says I have to connect to home wi-fi to watch, but I've been watching for 2 years with no problem (this is a direct ethernet connection BTW, not wi-fi).

have you recently changed your gateway/modem? try a smart device (phone/tablet/roku) connected via your home wifi. can you watch all channels on that device(s)?
