Streaming video quality options

in the settings menu while streaming, there used to be an option for video quality. it is no longer there. how do i set it to low quality? my shows keep trying to switch quality and its lagging. mouths and actions dont sync up. it used to be an option, but for some reason its the only option removed from the settings menu. how do i change viedeo quality settings. tried the settings menu while watching the program, and tried the settings menu on the site. no luck, which drove me here, doing far more work and investing much more time into this then i would like.

Same issue....  Just got a data alert I'm smoking through my data allowance and I see this stream app trying to push the highest quality availble.    There's a playback preference option group in the settings off the main channel lineup, but that only give you "play best available".  I turned this off, but it doesn't appear to give you any additional options.  I have a hard time believing this quality setting was intentionally removed, an not a screw up.

while playing video on a desk/laptop using the streaming website, there is a 'gear' icon in lower right of play window (move mouse to display controls). from there you can choose your current playback quality. the local channels are in mpeg2 format and take up much more data than the cable channel's mpeg4 image streams. there is a web site in your account to make more choices appear when you select a program to play at https://www.xfinity.com/stream/settings/playback-preferences

I am having the exact same problem - these setting vanished today.   When streaming on my dekstop it worked much better to have image quality set to "LOW" - now the option is gone???
