Turned on Roku to the Xfinity app tonight and found that all of the HD channels were missing. In addition, our Favorites list had disappeared. We have three of these boxes, and all three lost HD and Favorites the same evening. SD channels work fine - HD channels don't even show up in the channels list.
What I have done:
Re-installed the app and re-authorized (twice)
Did a factory reset of the roku and re-installed and re-authorized.
Called Comcast and asked them to do a deep background database refresh (per advice I read on this forum).
The Comcast tech confirmed that the streaming app on my iPad and desktop computer were working ok (which they are) and still had HD. Then he told me that there was nothing else he could do, it was probably caused by a Roku update.
Does this sound right? This is a model 3800RW if that makes a difference. Shouldn't everyone using this model be suffering the same problem if it is caused by a software update? I'm going to sit tight and see if the problem resolves itself in the near future, but I'm not feeling very optimistic.
Any advice is appreciated.
So I did have some progress; HD and favorites showed up again this afternoon.
Now when I click on an HD channel, I get “Sorry! Something went wrong. Please try again later. It has an error code of TVAPP-00116.
Anybody have a clue?
