Recording Movies on a Computer/Laptop

Hey all, so I've been wanting to record a movie off of Xfinity Stream for my own personal use for sometime, as I actually prefer the film with the edits. The movie itself is free, as it is one of the free network programs (e.g. like a movie from FXM). Is it possible to record movies on a computer/laptop from these networks? If so, how? Also, is it possible to burn these recordings onto a DVD for future use?

there is no area of the forum for archiving procedures/assistance. you might try using an X1 set top box that has audio/visual RCA jacks or alternatively coax out and then you need a VCR or DVD recorder that accepts the same connector.
