Xfinity Stream update won't install

Unable to install the streaming app update on the fire TV, said it may be because it was out of storage.

Deleted the old version to free up space (BIG MISTAKE) and a couple other apps, cleared cache from most apps and still get the same message. Unable to watch TV!

I have seen several similar (and one identical) posts here, but am unable to find them again to give a "Like" ! This system needs a "back button"!

Just an update, the one remaining TV we had with it working got a strange message about a requred update this evening.

The problem seems to be resolved, I went to the TV where I deleted the app and the installation worked. It also worked on a TV where I hadn't deleted the app, and will try our main TV later.

I don't know what changed but clearly something did. I'll give Comcast Xfinity the credit and my thanks.

reset to factory condition, then update the firestick until no updates available. unplug for 3 minutes then plug back in. reinstall the app. worked?

I have the same problem. This solution doesn't work. Amazon forum techs say this has to be a problem resolved by developers with Xfinity. The app was working fine on my Firestick until it required me to update to latest version. It's your beta. It's not working. How can we get developers to resolve this so we can install this updated app without getting the false low on space error message?

Nope, neither one was updated. I have no idea what changed, and the problem was on multiple TV's but with the same type FireTV box. The "required update" was when we started Xfinity Stream.

I had it installed, then uninstalled because of the awful interface. BUT, I had the same problem as you. TRY THIS: If you have a VPN, turn it off during the download/install and authorization process.  It finally installed again. I also set my vpn to ignore the stream app ... and was successfully able to use it again. Sadly, the interface is awful. IF ONLY, I could simply use the fire remote voice to select a specific network, rather than having to scroll through a channel number sort rather than an alphabetized default guide. AWFUL interface.
