Xfinity Stream Beta on Firestick

I am trying to get the application to work on my Firestick but no luck. It keeps hanging on the provisioning device screen. I have tried complete reinstall of application and reboot of device but no luck. Anything else to try, or is there a beta forum or email for support?

Hello this is what worked for me. I first deleted the app. Then I went into ES File Explorer app. If you don't have it you can download it. I first clicked local then internal storage and long held on the Xfinity file until it was checked , then I clicked on the delete ( trash can ) icon . I reinstalled and it worked. Hope it helps.

I am confused then as to why it is in the Firestick app store? The link you provided shows it is compatible with fire tv device s.

Have you ever previously side-loaded the mobile app onto your device? If so that could be the source of your problems, and you'd need to clear your device's sdcard storage for the app.

Did have the app sideloaded, but deleted it before I downloaded and tried to set up the beta app. I am going to see if I log into my Xfinity account through my Firestick browser and then trying to activate resolves the issue. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Did you ever get his working?  I am having the same issue. It hangs on "provisioning this device."  Uninstalled, reinstalled. Cleared cache. Restarted stick. Logged in on browser on stick and external device. Anyone else?  We have been waiting for this forever. Thanks.

it appears based on web https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/tv-before-install and the links (one is 'bad' just remove %20 at the end of url that fire TV is not just fire TV sets but any modern fire TV devices that run Android 5+  (says 4 will not run the app). please do check to see if the app store does carry the app.

is it jail broken? does the stream app load and run on the home wifi using a smart phone/tablet?

I have logged into my xfinity account through my Firestick Silk browser. Trying to stream xfinity through the silk browser on my home network does not work. The Xfinity stream app I downloaded is not sideloaded but the version that was recently released to the Amazon app store. Not able to get past the provisioning screen. I am able to connect and use the app on my non fire android devices on my home network.

try a factory reset of the firestick and then add the app?

Yeah, I don't think we can solve this. I left it on provisioning this device for 6 hours and nothing ever happened. It's still stuck there. I guess they weren't kidding when they bsaid "beta" lol. Oh well, back to the side loaded version. I cleared the data and cache before uninstalled and then installed the new version just to make sure no app folder compatibility issues would come up. So I think this is just a case of growing pains. Sadly, comcast rarely fixes those.

I thought about the reset but I will wait a while to see is another version gets pushed out. It looks like a lot of people are having the same issue. I understand it is a beta app and there will be issues. The disappointing issue is that Comcast doesn't set up a public forum for the beta.

I have two Fire TV Sticks which "provisioned" without any issue.  I also have a 3rd-Gen Fire TV - (pendant shape) which is stuck on the "provisioning" screen like your issue.  Many attempts, won't provision.  Just curious of the model you're trying?

Thanks  ESchrag!  I had sideloaded a version of Xfinity Stream app previously that must have been messing with the new install.  Uninstalled, deleted the "com.xfinity.cloudtvr.device" folder, re-installed and all is fine now.
