on your new modem/gateway write down or take a photo of the HFC MAC address and then call 800-Comcast and select billing. ask the agetn to update your modem serial number record. after fixed, it can take up to 24 hours for all the databases to be up to date and working.
Called said MAC address they have on file for me already matches the one on my gateway. The xfinity app works on everything but both of my Samsung smart tvs. They worked prior to me getting a new modem/router and after they install this new one it doesn't. Been going through hoops with comcast saying its not on there end and to call samsung. Samsung says its not them and talk to comcast.

I was hoping to be able to reply to the forum question on the TVAPP-00100 on a Samsung Smart TV, but saw nowhere to do that, so trying to create a new topic, since I was able to go to the next topic and reply . I am getting a TVAPP-00100 error whenever I try to use xfinity stream on a Samsung smart tv. I checked and the model number is compatiable as far as I can tell. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if there is another issue and hoping you can help. I want to get streaming to work as we have some new TVs, and will be moving our old TVs to a new location. Our old tvs don't allow streaming so...

did you already remove the app and unplug the TV for 5+ minutes, plug back in. use TV remote to access the TV settings menu and find software or firmware update and update over and over until no update is available. then unplug for 5+ minutes again, then plug in and reinstall the app. be sure to accept the terms and conditions. working?
