Xfinity Bata app on Ruko

Why dose it say I half to be on Xfinity wifi to use the app on my ROKU if that's the case why even have it I travel with my ROKU and Xfinity not always around

It’s meant to be an in your house replacement for a cable box. Use the mobile app or website when you travel
