Content downloaded to X1 Stream app is disappearing when no wifi

I downloaded a few shows to my Kindle Fire and it worked fine...  Then when I got onto my flight, I put the device into airplane mode.   When I open. the Xfinity app, the shows I downloaded no longer show up...but as soon as I connect to wifi, then they show back up as downloaded.....

Challenge is I shouldn't have to buy wifi on flights just to get this feature to work...because it used to work without the wifi....

No.  Only the Xfinity App..   I have the Amazon Prime and Netflix app,  and neither have that problem...

As soon as I connect to wifi, the show right back up (no redownload) so I know the files are still on the device.

I think you misunderstood. not using the kindle device, use a smart phone/ (different) tablet like iOS/Android. using the stream app are you able to download.
