Xfinity wifi settings nag screen

"Allow Xfinity Wifi Settings to turn on/off wifi?"
Anybody else seeing this? Just started happening after the latest update. I'd add a screenshot but there's no way to.

You're not alone. Today I tried clearing cache of the Xfinity Wi-Fi Settings app, to no avail. If disabled, I get the popup asking permission to turn it off, then an error, then a popup askign if it can turn Wi-Fi on.

It would be great if this was fixed. Having this pop up every minute is a pain.

Have 3 Samsung S9s on my account, and this just started happening to all 3. Not a coincidence. I believe the timing on this is tied to a recent Android update received sometime around the first of November. Spent a couple hours on the phone with Xfinity today. Very nice, but they're not aware of this issue. At one point a warranty replacement was suggested. This is not a Samsung issue. All 3 of my phones are fine and they did not conspire to all stop working properly on the same day. I have screenshots showing that it's the Xfinity Wifi Settings app causing this malfunction. Xfinity, please fix this!

ive got the same issues with all 3 of my phones. numerous calls and chats with xfinity. even went to the store. customer service has always been so poor with them...its hard to get them to even get you to the right department...they dont speak or understand english most of the time and then they dont understand what your issue is no matter how many times you explain it. a completely wasted morning and we still have this ridiculous popup. if anyone comes across a fix let me know please.

Try going into the app settings (settings/apps/show system apps from the truoke dot menu) and disabling permission for location information. I did this and since the app doesn't know whether I'm in a prior wifi loation or not, it doesn't nag me. I keep wifi on all the time.
